This Privacy Policy explains how Done Different Media (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses and protects personal data when you visit donedifferentmedia.com or get in touch with us. We are committed to handling your data responsibly and in line with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
1. Who we are
Done Different Media is a creative media and marketing agency operated by Pádraig Fitzsimons, trading as Done Different Media, based in Belfast, Northern Ireland. For the purposes of data protection law, we are the “data controller” of the personal data described in this policy. You can contact us at hello@donedifferentmedia.com.
2. What personal data we collect
We only collect personal data that you choose to give us. This currently happens in two places on our site:
- Contact form — when you submit our contact form, we collect your name, email address and the details of your enquiry.
- Booking widget — our Contact page includes a scheduling tool provided by our CRM platform, LeadConnector (GoHighLevel). If you use it to book a call, that tool collects your name, email address, phone number and the appointment details you provide.
We do not collect payment details, government ID numbers, or any special category data (such as health or medical information) through this website, and we ask that you don’t include this kind of information in a contact form message.
3. How we use your data
We use the information you provide to:
- Respond to your enquiry or booking request
- Discuss and deliver our services if we start working together
- Keep a record of our communications with you
- Meet our legal, accounting and administrative obligations
Our legal basis for this processing is either your consent (when you submit a form or make a booking) or our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries about our services. We do not use your data for any purpose beyond what you’d reasonably expect when getting in touch with a marketing agency, and we do not sell or rent your data to third parties.
4. Who we share your data with
We use a small number of trusted third-party services to run our business and this website. These providers only process your data on our instructions and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes:
- LeadConnector / GoHighLevel — our customer relationship management (CRM) and scheduling platform, used to store enquiries and manage bookings.
- Our website hosting provider — used to run and store the website itself.
- Meta Platforms, Inc. (Meta Pixel) — used for advertising measurement and analytics. Meta Pixel only runs, and only shares data with Meta, if you accept advertising cookies via our cookie banner. See the Cookies section below for details.
Other than the services listed above, we do not share your data with any other advertising networks or analytics providers. If that changes, we’ll update this policy to reflect it.
5. Cookies
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. We keep our use of them to a minimum.
Strictly necessary cookies: our website and booking widget may use essential cookies required for the site and its scheduling tool to function correctly. These don’t require consent under the law, as the site can’t work properly without them.
Analytics and advertising cookies: we use Meta Pixel, a tracking tool provided by Meta (Facebook), to help us measure the effectiveness of our advertising and understand how visitors interact with our site.
We use a cookie consent banner, provided by CookieYes, which appears when you first visit our site. Meta Pixel and any other non-essential cookies only load if you click “Accept All” or otherwise consent to advertising cookies in that banner — if you decline, Meta Pixel will not run and no data is shared with Meta through this website. You can change your mind at any time by clearing your browser’s cookies for this site and revisiting, which will show the consent banner again so you can update your choices.
6. How long we keep your data
We keep enquiry and booking data for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to you and, if we work together, for the duration of our business relationship plus a period afterwards to meet our legal and accounting obligations. If we don’t hear back from you after an initial enquiry, we’ll delete your details within 12 months.
7. Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- Ask what personal data we hold about you and receive a copy of it
- Ask us to correct inaccurate data
- Ask us to delete your data
- Object to or restrict how we use your data
- Ask for your data to be transferred to another organisation
- Withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent
To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@donedifferentmedia.com. If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, you also have the right to complain to the UK’s data protection regulator, the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
8. Keeping your data secure
We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect the personal data we hold, including using reputable, secure third-party providers for hosting and CRM. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we work to protect your information appropriately.
9. Children’s privacy
This website and our services are intended for businesses and individuals aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time, for example if we start using new tools or cookies on the site. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last Updated” date.
